With the divine blessing of Sai baba the North American Shirdi Sai Temple of Atlanta (NASSTA) has been serving the community since 2002. Temple is planning to add the following structures to not only improve the physical infrastructure but also enhance the spiritual and communal experience for devotees. It allows the temple to continue its mission of promoting the teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba, including love for all, forgiveness, charity, and inner peace, among others. This expansion reflects the dedication of the temple to its community and the preservation of Sai Baba’s legacy.
The budget for this project is expected to be upwards of $5 million. Temple is coordinating various fundraising initiatives to secure the necessary funds for the successful completion of this project. We kindly appeal to the community to consider contributing generously from both their hearts and wallets to support this noble cause.
Yagasala
This is a crucial addition, as it provides a dedicated space for the performance of yajnas (ritual offerings) and other important religious rituals. Yagasala serves as a bridge between the material and spiritual worlds, allowing devotees to seek blessings spiritual growth, and communal harmony through these sacred practices.
Dhuni
The inclusion of a Dhuni is a powerful symbol associated with the spiritual presence of Sai Baba. It represents healing, blessings, and the continuity of Sai Baba’s divine energy. Devotees often seek solace and spiritual connection through the presence of the Dhuni.
Fellowship Hall
This hall will serve as a versatile space for various community activities. Satsang (spiritual gatherings, lectures. and even social events can be conducted here. It’s a place where devotees can come together to learn, share and celebrate their faith and community bonds.
Meditation Hall
A Meditation Hall is a great addition, as it provides a tranquil space for individuals to practice meditation and yoga, promoting inner peace and well-being. In addition, this building will serve as a mini event hall for the community functions such as weddings satsangs etc. with a capacity of 200 people.
Other Structures
A small kitchen for preparing prasadam (sacred food offerings), a laundry room for washing Baba’s clothes, a shoe rack, and a canopy at the entrance are practical additions that enhance the overall functioning of the temple. These facilities ensure that the temple can maintain cleanliness, serve prasadam efficiently, and provide convenience to devotees.

Shama Karna
To engage the entire community, the temple has initiated a fundraising program named “Shama Karna.” Shama Karna the Horse serves as a symbol of devotion and selfless service, closely associated with one of Sai Baba’s devoted followers.
The sponsors name will be etched on Shama Karna to recognize their contribution. Due to limitation of space, the maximum number of sponsorships is 1116.
